Technical balls can be found, for example, in perfume dispensers, washing machines and dishwashers. When shaking a paint spray before use you will hear the balls rattling inside the can. Similarly, patients who suffer with diabetes and need to inject insuline do so on a daily basis using 'pens' containg glass beads.
Large volume of technical glass beads is used in for traffic road marking.
Technical beads from borosilicate glass have wide usage in chemical, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.
May be used as mixing beads, boiling stones, or packing for distillation columns.
Precise grinded technical beads are used in engineering industry for construction of special valves and bearings. We talk mainly about application in aggressive media and surroundings (technical glass is more resistance again acids and lyes) or where we face large temperature differences (temperature stretchability of glass is very low).
