Our sunshine recorder (Heliograph)

A sunshine recorder is a device that records the amount of sunshine at a given location. The results provide information about the weather and climate as well as the temperature of a geographical area. This information is useful in meteorology, science, agriculture, tourism, and other fields. It has also been called a heliograph.

We unveiled our brand new sunshine recorder (heliograph) located directly in front of our facilities in Loděnice near Prague. This scientific and artistic instrument is the largest heliograph in the Czech Republic measuring 26 cm diameter, more than double the size of standard 10 cm diameter heliographs. The unique stand was designed and built by art black smith Miroslav Liederhaus.

Why not ‚pop by‘ and have a look.
